Sam is so cute, we can't stand it!

Meanwhile, lest you forget how cute our puppy is...(Switz is definitely disappointed that this little creature appears to be here for good and he's getting quite vocal about it.)

Bath time continues to be a struggle, even though Sam is outfitted in the cutest towels possible.(The other day in his terror he reached out and grabbed the faucet to the cold water. Luckily, he did not muster the strength to pull it open. Oye.)

Sam heads to school...

He's about 5 years out from kindergarten, but it's never too early! Last Friday, we went to visit Mr. Gamage's 5th grade classroom.(No germs allowed!)

And now for another birthday celebration...

Last weekend the Horowitz clan descended on Minneapolis to celebrate mom's 60th birthday...which meant that the two cousins (or "tousins" as we affectionately call them in our family) met for the first time. They are exactly 8 months apart to the day!

Happy Birthday! (1 Month)

You better believe we're celebrating every birth month! Today Sam turned 1 (month)! We celebrated by going for a lovely fall stroll, heading to the library and the Wild Rumpus book store (a must see if you live in MN).
According to our bathroom scale, Sam weighs over 11lbs! He no longer fits in newborn clothes, as evidenced by the vest below.

Ok, so sometimes the precious moments are much greater than 13% (see post below)...

We recently read an article that said parenthood was 87% downright difficult and exhausting, 13% precious and blissful. Hmmm, that seems to be about accurate.
