Sam had a blast in the Johnny Jump Up! It was great entertainment for Sam, us, and Switzerland.

Vital Bio-Statistics Update (a rare post authored by Matt)

We got Sam's bio-statistic measurements for 5 months on Saturday (one day late), but here are the results:

Weight: 18 lb (~75th percentile)
Length: 28.5 inches (off the percentile charts--this is the 98th percentile for a 6.5 month old)
Weight to Length Ratio: ~10th percentile (this tells me that in spite of how chunky we think Sammy's cheeks seem, he is still longer than the average chunkster)
Head Circumference: 18 inches (off the percentile charts--this the 95th percentile for a 5.5 month old)

Happy Birthday! (5 Months)

Another month! Sam fell asleep before we could take his measurements, but bottom line he's a BIG baby with enormous cheeks (and a tiny rash, thus the shiny forehead).

 And we're excited to announce that Sam is staring to sit up on his own...

Well, sort of...come on, Sam, work those core muscles!
