More birthday fun...

Sam had a few presents to open for his 6 months birthday...once again, the wrapping paper proved to be the best part. (And actually, we think he ate a little bit of it.)

Happy Birthday! (6 months)

Yesterday we celebrated a fairly big milestone, 1/2 a year!! Sam has two teeth, is able to sit on his own, and is starting to hold a bottle--although his aim is a little off and he ends up spilling milk down his nose. Plus, he's a pro at blowing bubbles.
Today we got the official measurements from the doc:
Height: 29 1/8 inch
Weight: 19lbs 12oz
Head: 45 7/8 cm
(Everyone looks at Sam, then looks at Mom, and scratches their head.)

Loppet, anyone?

As many of you know, cross-country skiing is very popular in this household. Unfortunately this winter has been virtually snowless. Plus we haven't quite figured the safest way to drag a baby in skies. In order to get our fix, we went to the City of Lakes Loppet yesterday--a X-country skiing extravaganza--where Sam witnessed his first racing event. We have high hopes that one day he'll be out there! (Although he may need to change his name to something more Scandinavian, like Sigurd Hans Jorgen.)

Sam's first ride in the stroller (without carseat attachment)! Technically you're supposed to wait until they are 6 months old but since that's just 9 days away and since our son is approximately the size of Paul Bunyan, we decided to give it a whirl. Other than the mittens--which he was vigorously apposed to--we had a lovely stroll!

Leisure time...

Just relaxing and catching up on some leisure reading...(How cute is Sam's new chair?? Thank you, Alyssa!)
