Fun in the Sun

The weather in Minneapolis is absolutely delightful. 80 degrees in March! And it's so sunny that Sam needed some sunglasses. (Minimally successful.)

Sam had a special visitor from Atlanta this past weekend - his cousin (or "tousin" as we often say). Meir was an excellent role model. He taught Sam how to play with empty yogurt containers, how to swing at the playground, and how to get applesauce in his nose. Great fun!

7 month bio-statistics / 6 month bio statistics retraction

So, the owners of this blog are forced to make a rare retraction. Last month, we reported on Sam's bio-stats yet when we measured him this month, we discovered an error. It appears the doctor did not do a very precise measurement at his 6 months appt. We previously reported Sam being 29 and 1/8 inches long/tall. However, after measuring him again yesterday (and again today just to be sure), we got slightly different measurements. Here are the current stats:

Current Height/Length: 28 inches (this is between the 75th and 85th percentile)
Current Weight: ~21 lb (this is about the 90th percentile)
Current Head Circumference: 18.5 inches (off the charts--95th percentile for 8 months)
Sam's Height-to-Weight Ratio is between 75th and 90th percentile (so he seems to be a bit on the beefy side for his height).
