Happy Birthday! 1 YEAR!!

Happy Birthday to sweet Sam! We love you!

The days activities included: present opening, the playground, lunch at the pool, party at daycare, more present opening, and yet another cake!

Sam's 1 year old bio-stats

Height/Length-32" - just above 98th percentile

Weight ~25.2 lb - between 90th & 95th percentile

Head Circumference 19.25" - just above 98th percentile

Height-to-Weight ratio is between 50th and 75th percentile; about the average weight for his height

Sugar High

Sam had his first taste of sugar on Saturday in the form of funfetti cake and lots of vanilla frosting. He proceeded immediately to the bath.

The birthday celebrations officially began! Here is Sammy with his first piece of cake during a pre-party at the Cape:

While on the Cape, Sam and Cousin Meir spent lots of quality time together. Ok, so they're a little different: One is tall, one is short. One is chubby, one is slender. One is loud, one is quiet. One sleeps, one doesn't. One clears his plate, one is a picky eater. But eventually we're convinced they will best of friends.

Clam chowdah, anyone?

Last month, Sam spent a week on Cape Cod, enjoying the beach--specifically the sand. Admittedly, vacation is a lot less relaxing with a baby...there's no lounging, reading, napping, or lobster rolls with a 1 year old...but it was still nice to get back East for the family tradition.
