The Busiest Airport in the World
Sam just got back from a trip to see his cousin in Atlanta...and quite successfully navigated the airport.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off-part two
A rare post authored by Sam's dad.
Sam
has been playing hooky the last couple of days (he pulled a Ferris Bueller,
faked a fever and some diarrhea, and has been goofing around ever since—he even
has the Broderick baby face good looks).
Yesterday
was relaxing with mommy and he got all rested up. He probably could have gone to school today,
but I was slated to go on a field trip and Sheyna was uber-busy with meetings,
so I decided not to chance it and called in a substitute teacher to go to the
science museum.
However,
he and I went to school this morning so I could get things kicked off with my
substitute and send off my class on the bus.
It was nice to introduce the class to Sam and he enjoyed showing off for
them. Before we were able to get back in
the car, he got tired, which I was prepared for, so he took a nap in my
classroom “book nook” while I got a little grading done (see below).
When he woke up from his AM snooze, the real fun began. We went to
lunch with the 6th graders at the adjoining middle school (my former
students of the last two years who share a cafeteria with our building on the
same campus). He ate for a bit, but then
took to entertaining about 300 eleven and twelve year olds by marching around
the cafeteria and waving to everyone. We
went back to my class to finish lunch after the 6th graders went
back to class, had a bit of recess time, then came home, walked the dog, and he
is now napping.
The
only thing we didn’t do was steal his best friend’s dad’s classic car. There’s always next time! <:

Yard Work
We bought Sam his own rake, but he much prefers the adult one:
He does seem to like his broom though. (And check out our new mudroom!)

Boo!
Halloween was actually a complete bust. Sam cried at every house we went too and refused to take any candy! But he was still pretty darn cute.
We actually had a back up, just in case Sam wanted to do a costume change...
