1st Day of PreK

Sam's first day in a full-time school program began today. Of course, he did great and both parents are very proud of him and love him to death. Matt tried to stay busy and not dwell on the fact that he had to wait more than 6 hours to see Sam again. Guess this is how parenting goes though. They grow up--and in that regard, Sam, who we think is quite exceptional, is no exception.

Oops, Matt had date wrong for morning departure photos.
The slog home after the long, hard day (reported he had fun though).

The friend that went with Sam (Joanie Pat has been in the family for a while). She was there for rest time and moral support. Tomorrow, Baby Beluga makes the trip.

Celebrating 4 with Family and Friends

Sam went to Albany over the weekend and spent the day playing with Nona and Papa, serving tea, and enjoying ice cream cake!

After wrapping up the Albany celebrations, we hustled back to NYC for Sam's birthday party with friends at the Hippo Playground in Riverside Park.

One tired partier resting on W 87th St.

While swinging at the playground today and urging me to push him higher Sam gleefully reported: "Four-year-olds are not afraid!  Go higher Daddy!" (He wasn't going that high. <;)

Wearing his new "special napping clothes," Thanks Brooke and Aunt Stacey!  <:
