First we all enjoyed a delicious breakfast together in recognition of the day Sheyna and Matt met at breakfast in Oakenshield's dining hall 18 years earlier. Next, we caught the D train out to Coney Island, the birth place of both Papa and Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs. We weren't quite prepared for the beach (didn't really think that one through), but we got our feet wet as preparation for our upcoming vacation on Cape Cod, sampled Nathan's Famous dogs (we just had one between us, so Joey Chestnut's title appears to be safe for a while yet), and visited some of the more extreme rides they offer to people under 40 inches tall. After the long subway ride home, the day ended with some quality time with Mama and some books.
