EVENTS DESCRIBED AND PICTURED TOOK PLACE OCTOBER 24-26, 2014
Sheyna had alumni business (reunion planning business, is there any other kind?) at the University of Virginia in beautiful Charlottesville, VA, so we piled in the car and headed south, enjoying lovely foliage along the way. While Sheyna was in meetings, Matt and Sam drove on to Blacksburg, VA to visit with friends from our time in Atlanta (where we got to go to a family fun day celebrating the groundbreaking of a new emergency response squad station). On the way back to UVA, they drove part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, took in majestic mountain views (3,200 ft elevation is nothing to sneeze at), and flew a kite on top of Big Spy Mountain.
