It has been one year to the day that Sam and Matt started their new adventure as full time buddies together. The day started with snuggle time as Sam watched the clock until it hit 7:00am, then a card and a small gift (assist from Sheyna--THANKS!), and yummy blueberry pancakes. We then got busy with all sorts of things, including eating gyros (yum), getting Sam new fun slippers (sharks and crocodile feet), ice skating with Mama during her lunch hour, and music class. I think the images below express my sentiments of the day well, but I'll add that I really love being a stay-at-home dad. It is such a joy. Sam brings me such nachas ("great joy" in Yiddish, I think).

Happy Valentine's Day!
Unveiling Sam's 2015 Valentine's Day Card, Starring Sam and featuring "Sammy the Bear" (Sam strayed from his normal naming convention, which would have resulted in the bear's name just being "Bear," which may tell you just how special this new friend is.)
P.S. Sam turned 3.5 years old today (2/13/2015) at 3:07 pm Central time.
Here is some ACTUAL Valentine's Day fun that Sam and his mommy embarked on:
And here are the outtakes from the card photoshoots.
Around 100 photos were taken over the course of a 9 days in January in the pursuit of half a dozen gems for the card. In the process romance blossomed, a life-long friendship was cemented, a little boy was only forced to smile a tiny bit, and Sammy the Bear learned to waltz, kinda (and slam dance, mostly).
